Kyle Lohse threw a baseball for the first time in 11 days on Sunday, but it's still going to be a good while before he's pitching in Major League games again.

St. Louis Cardinals righthander Kyle Lohse had a quick game of catch this afternoon at Progressive Field. Lohse is on the 15-day disabled list with a strained forearm, and just a few days ago the arm ached as he tried to push it through the range-of-motion exercises. The past couple days have led to significant progress — progress enough that he picked up a ball for the first time since the injury.
