The Freak found his groove over his last seven starts, averaging almost eight innings a start while striking out 58 and walking just twelve in 54 2/3 innings. That’s good for a 1.48 ERA. Thompson depends a great deal on his defense as he’s struck out 13 and walked 11 in 42 innings of work.
