Tyler Herron (Pirates):
The Pirates signed right-hander Tyler Herron to a Minor League contract and assigned him to Double-A Altoona. Herron, the 46th overall pick in the 2006 First-Year Player Draft, previously pitched for the Cardinals' Double-A team. He was 2-4 with a 4.37 ERA.
