For the first time this season manager Tony La Russa on Saturday scripted a lineup without Albert Pujols in it. Both parties insisted the day off had been in the works since Atlanta, but La Russa acknowledged that El Hombre is feeling a little “ouchy” in his leg. When pressed, TLR could not recall which leg is affected, but insisted Pujols would return to the lineup Sunday for the series finale against the Washington Nationals.
