Russell Branyan (Mariners):
The nine home runs Russell Branyan hit for the Brewers in June became his ticket to Seattle, and so far this season, the Mariners are cashing in on the first baseman's production.

Jack Wilson (Pirates):
On Sunday, Pirates shortstop Jack Wilson took his next step forward in returning from a sprained middle finger injury that put him on the disabled list on April 25. Hours before the Pirates' afternoon contest against the Reds, Wilson went into the indoor batting cages to take his first swings since being shut down a week ago.

Julio Manon (Long Island):
Long Island Ducks team officials today announced the signing of righthanded pitcher Julio Manon. The 35-year-old has spent last season with Bowie (AA, Orioles) of the Eastern League, where he posted 32 saves and a 3.39 ERA in 56 games as the Bay Sox closer. He then joined the Ducks late in the year, saving one game and earning a 1-0 record with a 2.45 ERA in five appearances.
