The Cubs can take a percentage point lead in the NL Central with a win over the Cardinals this afternoon. Kyle Lohse takes on Ryan Dempster. Lohse has always given up a few more hits than innings pitched, but he’s started 2009 with just 8 hits in 16 innings. Dempster’s walks and home runs are up slightly so far in 2009, and so is his ERA.
