Although he only made 20 starts in 2008, Adam Wainwright posted the best ERA and highest winning percentage among the top five Cardinals starters. His improvement over 2008 came from cutting his OBA allowed 37 points, reducing both his walks and hits allowed. He’ll host one of the NL’s top pitchers, Roy Oswalt. Roy was a little shaky in his first start, allowing two home runs and only striking out two batters.
