Jason Marquis (Rockies):
Rockies starter Jason Marquis (1-0), acquired from the Cubs during the offseason, held the Phillies to two runs and five hits in seven innings. He struck out two and walked two. Marquis, one of the better hitting pitchers, singled in the Rockies' first run in the third inning and doubled in the sixth.

"I'm just having a blast out there," said Marquis, who improved to 4-0 with a 2.52 ERA in six career games at Coors. "I feel good with where I am."
