The veteran of the St. Louis Cardinals’ bullpen Ryan Franklin had a bit of a Bengamin Button-type spring training. He pitched three innings in his first appearance — as many or more at that time than any of the starters had thrown — and yet with each passing week, his appearances got shorter, and shorter, and shorter.
