The St. Louis Cardinals have announced the Springfield Cardinals 2009 roster for the upcoming exhibition game in Quad Cities. While it's likely that all 24 players on the roster will open the year at Hammons Field this Thursday, the roster will become official at some point early next week.

In preparation for their Sunday road exhibition against the Quad Cities River Bandits, the Springfield Cardinals of the Double-A Texas League have announced their 24-man season-opening roster.

Top prospects Brett Wallace and Daryl Jones will return to the Springfield Cardinals to start the season, the team announced as it unveiled its roster for Sunday's exhibition against Low-A Quad Cities.
