Cardinals manager Tony La Russa isn't oblivious to the potential theatrics of any baseball situation. But when he brought in new lefthanded specialist Trever Miller to face Philadelphia Phillies home-run king Ryan Howard in the sixth inning Friday, La Russa said he was unaware that, in his final appearance for the Tampa Bay Rays last season, Miller had served up a two-run homer to Howard in Game 4 of the World Series.
