Somewhere between retiring the first seven Baltimore Orioles hitters today and getting the final out of the fifth inning, St. Louis Cardinals righthander Todd Wellemeyer lost something. When his outing was concluded, at least one inning less than pitching coach Dave Duncan and manager Tony La Russa had hoped for, Wellemeyer had given up seven hits and seven runs in a 10-6 loss to the Orioles.
