The Indians cut three players Sunday, and Wedge said there will be another roster cut this week.
Left-hander Rich Rundles was optioned to Class AAA Columbus, while right-hander Tomo Ohka and left-hander Ryan Edell were reassigned to minor-league camp.
Rundles and Edell have options. Ohka, who almost has seven years in the big leagues, came to camp as a spring-training invitee.
Ohka received $100,000 for coming to spring training. If he stays in the Indians minor-league system, he'll make $15,000 a month. If he pitches in the big leagues with the Indians, he'll be paid at a prorated percentage of a $550,000 contract.
He also has the right to sign with a Japanese or Korean team.
