Wolf was followed by Jeff Weaver, who now has three scoreless innings in two outings. Torre said he's still considering Weaver -- a non-roster invitee on a Minor League contract -- for a swingman relief role and not for the undeclared fifth-starter spot.
"That was really good today," Torre said. "Even though you think of him as a bullpen guy, the more he repeats his stuff, the better we'll like it. His changeup was good and he looks comfortable. He's locating his fastball really well. I'm happy for him. Right now he seems pretty comfortable doing what he's doing."
