Left-handed reliever Tyler Johnson (sore shoulder) will be held out of workouts for the next week and perhaps longer. He was with the Cardinals last year but didn't pitch because of shoulder bursitis. The Mariners are hoping the current soreness is simply from all the throwing he did for various clubs while he was trying to get a job. "It's tough for him (sitting), but we think it's just inflammation," Wakamatsu said. "He knows he has to be 100 percent to help us."
