- Tony LaRussa is considering Colby Rasmus in the 9th spot if he makes the team. If he does well, bat Rasmus leadoff and Skip Schumaker 2nd?
- Rasmus has started off slow at all levels, so batting him 9th is not a bad idea.
- Rasmus more physically matured, has a better idea of what it takes.
- Yes, they rambled on about his dad. Hopefully everyone is on the same page.
- Adam Wainwright looked outstanding, caught Albert Pujols up.
- Wainwright looks good physically and could be a Cy Young candidate if he stays healthy and gets 30+ starts.
- 90 win team? If Chris Carpenter stays healthy, followed with Wainwright and Kyle Lohse.
- Todd Wellemeyer moves past the bad outings and does not let it carry over into other starts.
- Kyle McClellan pretty much in the bullpen, Brad Thompson can make a couple starts, Mitch Boggs still questionable, P.J. Walters another name, Adam Ottavino still awhile out, Jess Todd another name as a possibility for short term starter.
- Jose Oquendo speaks very highly of Walters after his stint in Puerto Rico.
- Schumaker working on the double play. Dedicated player and positive influence in the clubhouse.
- Joe Mather getting time at 3B, team is trying to figure out a way to keep him on the team due to his power bat. David Freese looks the best bet at 3B.
- Khalil Greene a little behind in the batting department.
