The Cardinals' off-season was more about who got away and who is injured than who was added.
After failing to land Colorado outfielder Matt Holliday in a trade or free-agent closer Brian Fuentes and then being punched in the gut by the news that third baseman Troy Glaus will spend at least the first five weeks of the season recovering from shoulder surgery, the Cardinals were looking for some good news.
