Two Hats

Brantley has worn two hats with the Reds -- first as a pitcher, now as an announcer.

But, his dream of being a big league announcer preceded any notion of being a big league pitcher.

"I wanted to be Keith Jackson before I wanted to be Nolan Ryan," said the man known as the Cowboy. "My dream as a 10-year-old was to announce baseball games."
