His continued support of Mark McGwire probably will be in vain again, but Cardinals manager Tony La Russa should have at least one feel-good moment Monday when outfielder Rickey Henderson, who, like McGwire, starred for La Russa in Oakland, gets the call informing him he has been elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
