Cardinals Winter League Notebook 1-5-09

*Mexican Pacific League*

Hugo Castellanos (Memphis-free agent): Entered in the seventh and pitched 1.1 innings. Allowed one hit, no runs, one walk, and struck out two for his first hold of the playoffs. (ground out-fly out:1-1)

Fernando Salas (Springfield): Currently on the Mazatlan inactive list.
Obregon beat Mazatlan 5-3: Boxscore

Ex-Cardinal Juan Acevedo started for Mexicali and gave up eight hits, four runs, two walks, and struck out four over 4.1 innings.
