This is Mazatlan's 13th Mexican Pacifc League Championship, five claimed in the old Pacific League and eight in the new league. They won their last title in 2005-06 season , which featured now former Memphis Redbirds Hugo Castellano and Edgar Gonzalez.

Jose Rada (GCL): Did not pitch for Aragua.
Former Memphis Redbird Armando Rios went 1-for-5 with one stolen base and two strikeouts for Caracas.

Ex-Cardinal Ronnie Belliard went 2-for-6 with one double and one run.
Ex-Cardinal Ray King pitched for Gigantes and gave up three hits, one run, two walks, and struck out two over 1.1 innings.

Licey sweeps the Championship Series 5-0, they are headed to the Caribbean Series.

Ponce wins the Championship Series 4-1, they are headed to the Caribbean Series.
This is Ponce's 11th title, they won their last in the 2003-04 season and claimed five titles back in the 1940's.
