Katsuhiko Maekawa Signs Minors Deal With Cardinals

The Cardinals confirmed on Friday that they have signed Japanese pitcher Katsuhiko Maekawa to a Minor League contract. Maekawa will not receive an invitation to Major League Spring Training.

Former Orix pitcher Katsuhiko Maekawa (30) and the Cardinals had signed a minor league contract with 17 days (18 hours), said. Matt Slater's assistant GM two forces, "Maekawa, nice to deal with.
