The Quad Cities River Bandits received a pair of reinforcements on Thursday, as the St. Louis Cardinals promoted third-round pick Niko Vasquez and Appalachian League batting leader Curt Smith to join the club as it makes its final push to reach the 2008 Midwest League playoffs.
