Right-hander Chris Carpenter flew to St. Louis at 3 p.m. on Tuesday to have the Cardinals team physician examine his injured right triceps. Meanwhile, at Dolphin Stadium the Cardinals were thinking of options in the likelihood that Carpenter will miss his planned Friday start.
