After eight weeks of play in the 2008 Venezuelan Summer League, the VSL Cardinals rookie-level club has a 20-22-2 record, in sixth, nine games out of first place in the eight-team league. Gerardo Mannbel and Javier Avendano are among this week’s standouts.
