Joe Kelly will return to the scene of the crime Friday night. The last game the Cardinals played in Milwaukee, April 16, was the last time Kelly played in a major league game.

Cardinals manager Mike Matheny admitted he had pause before he wrote slumping Allen Craig’s name in the seventh spot on the lineup card Wednesday. He had not done that since 2012, and then Matheny put Craig seventh just once that year.
